The Story Behind the Festival

When co-owner Paul Oettinger opened Pals Brewing Company in 2017, he had a vision that went beyond craft beer and award-winning pizza. Live music had always been at the center of his life, and he wanted to share that with North Platte and the surrounding region.

The Western Nebraska Craft Beer Festival came first. Now celebrating its 8th year, it has grown into one of the premier craft beer events in the region, drawing breweries and beer enthusiasts from across Nebraska. Then came Boots N' Beef: a full-scale music festival built to showcase the songwriters and performers Paul cares most about, in a setting that's uniquely Pals.

"Live music has always been such a huge part of my life," says Oettinger. "We wanted to create something where people come together, discover great artists, and walk away feeling like they were part of something special. That's what Boots N' Beef is."

The Western NE Craft Beverage Festival

Now in its 8th year, the Western Nebraska Craft Beverage Festival is the premier craft beer event in western Nebraska. Friday night brings unlimited beer, wine, and spirits samples in your commemorative tasting glass, live music, lawn games, and food — all included with your ticket.

It's a celebration of Nebraska's thriving craft brewing scene, and it just keeps getting better.

Saturday – 3rd Annual

The Boots N' Beef Music Festival

The Boots N' Beef Music Festival is three years in and growing fast. What sets it apart isn't just the lineup — it's the focus on authentic talent. Songwriters. Performers. Artists who bring something real.

It all happens at one of Nebraska's most acclaimed breweries and restaurants and it's a festival experience unlike anything else in the region.
